Chris Poll, Chief Executive of Future Route Limited – the company behind CreditPal – has relinquished his executive role and Nigel Folkes – having previously been Deputy Chief Executive - has been appointed Chief Executive.
Poll said that “I took over as Chief Executive to develop Future Route to the stage of having a growing and sustainable client base. Now that has been achieved I want to step back from my executive role and return to being Non-Executive Chairman”.
Asked about his new role, Folkes commented "I am extremely pleased to be taking over as CEO of Future Route at this exciting time to exploit our CreditPal technology. We have a world-beating platform around which market-changing propositions in commercial banking, sales finance and business information are being created, and we have an excellent management team in place to deliver further growth".
Ian Carstairs, a Non-Executive Director of Future Route, commented that the Board wished to publicly record its thanks to Poll for "taking Future Route to where it is today, through his foresight and determination", notably in "steering the company towards the opportunities provided by CreditPal" and wished Folkes “every success in growing the CreditPal business to achieve its full potential”.
Prior to joining Future Route, Poll had a distinguished City career, notably as Founder of financial data company Micropal, which was later sold to Standard & Poors. Folkes has held a number of leadership roles in the finance, technology and information sectors, notably as Managing Director of Resource Partners Group, an invoice finance provider.
